Tasting Note

Opulent Organics Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

opulent shiraz

Winemaker Kevin Watson's Comments:

No oak, just pure fruit.  Bottled right after fermentation was finished to express the beautiful fruit from this biodynamic vineyard.  No preservative added, so don't cellar it.  A little reminiscent of Beaujolais which again is a wine bottled right after fermentation in France.

Warrego Wines is the only winery in Queensland with approval to produce Certified Organic Wine.

From the grape grower to our winery, the processes and checks involved to gain certification take many, many months of hard dedicated work. There is an initial submission to a certifying organization who sends a recognized certifying officer to the venues.
After the initial successful certification process, the applicant is then certified as either 'organic' or 'in conversion.'
This is followed by annual or biannual re-inspections and after a period of time and successful inspections 'in conversion' applicants are able to be granted full organic certification.
