| SAUCE: 3/4 c. Brown sugar 1/4 c. Butter 2 1/2 c. Water BATTER: 1/4 c. Melted butter 1/2 c. Brown sugar 1/2 c. Milk |
1 tsp. Vanilla 1 c. Plain flour Pinch Salt 2 tsp. Baking powder 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg 1 tsp. Cinnamon 3/4 c. Raisins 1 c. Whipping cream, whipped |

Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
In a saucepan, combine sauce ingredients. Heat until sugar is dissolved and butter melted. Pour into large souffle or casserole dish. In a bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, milk and vanilla. Add flour, salt, baking powder and spices. Beat well. Stir in raisins. Spoon batter onto sauce. Bake for 40 minutes. Serve warm topped with whipping cream. |
