What's Happening with Warrego Wines

Hello everyone!  Warrego Wines and Blues – Sat Feb. 11th.

Yes, Valentine's Day is not far off.  To make a very big impression on the most important person in your life, you might want to think about Sat. Feb. 11th.  Yes, that's the last day before Valentine's Day that most of you can play up a little and sleep in the next morning.

Boy are you lucky or what?

Being closed to the public and missing your company so much, I just thought we should organise something off-site so that you don't go into withdrawal from not having access to our wines.  A drug dealer does care deeply about his customers.

We've hooked up with Heather Mildwaters, the owner of the Ipswich Antique Centre (86 East Street Ipswich - directly across from the Old Courthouse or kitty corner to the Ipswich Hospital - kitty corner, hmmm - might be a Canadianism) to host a wine and blues night on her premises on Saturday Feb. 11th. from 7-10 p.m.  (That's not this Saturday but next (Saturday week I believe Aussies call it, would someone please fill me in on the derivation of that saying!)  The fabulous Natasha Campbell and "The Children of the Blues" will be setting the mood for the evening and we'll be enhancing the mood with our wine and food.

So what to expect?

Free entry.  How's that for a start?

Fabulous antiques and collectables to browse through and to buy for that someone special.  Truly Ipswich's largest selection of both.  We walked in for the first time a few weeks ago and bought a full set of almost never used Royal Doulton tableware.  Didn't really need it, but god, it was pretty!

Cathy's wonderful finger-food platters available for purchase if you aren't going out for dinner somewhere.

Wine by the glass at $5- real glasses, not plastic.  Wander around the antiques with a glass with the band playing softly (probably not too softly, we'll see) in the background.  Trip the light fantastic on the dance floor.

Or Wine by the bottle at $15 per bottle, take the rest home if you don't finish it.  Five glasses approximately per bottle, so no prizes for guessing whether this is better value than purchasing two glasses at a time.

A lovely non-rushed, relaxing evening with great people (Assuming you are bringing someone nice that is - Cathy and I will be there in any event).

'Nuff said.

Would be great to hear from you with numbers for Cathy's catering, but not essential.
